The 2024 SEMA show (for Specialty Equipment Marketing Association) is just around the corner. As is the tradition each year, wild modified concepts are heading its way. In case you’ve never attended SEMA, I highly suggest you find a way to get there. It’s by far one of the most out-of-this-world events on the automotive calendar. SEMA is all about the aftermarket, tuning, restomods, hot-rods, monster trucks and even electric vehicle (EV) conversions.
Mopar, which focuses its business on the art of selling manufacturer-approved accessories for vehicles sold under the Stellantis umbrella – more particularly for American brands like Chrysler, Dodge, Ram and Jeep – never misses the opportunity to expose its latest toys on the Las Vegas Convention Center show floor. This year, Mopar is coming in hot with no less than three new concept cars wearing new gear: two heavily modified Ram trucks, as well as a seriously badass 1967 Plymouth GTX fully converted into an EV.

Plymouth GTX Electromod Showcases Mopar’s New e-Crate Populsion Package
The big highlight from the restomoded ’67 Plymouth GTX is Mopar’s all-new e-Crate propulsion package. It lets you transform your favorite muscle car into your own electric-powered beast. Mopar’s Electric Drive Module (EDM) is compact and attaches to the frame using custom-designed isolated mounts, allowing it to neatly fit inside the GTX’s massive trunk.
The EDM is composed of a 384-cell, water-cooled, lithium-ion battery pack good for 73 kWh (and that weighs about 230 pounds). This allows the e-Crate motor to pump out 250 kW, or the equivalent of 335 horsepower and about 330 lb-ft of torque. It’s all sent straight to the rear wheels through a 3:1 gear reducer. The all-electric range is rated at 250 miles.
For this GTX Electromod, painted in Frostbite Blue, the Mopar design team widened the rear-wheel openings for a more aggressive look. Custom-shaved, body-colored bumpers were tucked in and trimmed to the fenders, while all exterior trim was painted in Satin Black. There’s also a one-off, custom carbon-fiber hood with dual functional air extractors, accented with dual Satin-black stripes. The ultra-cool electric GTX restomod will be exposed on the SEMA show floor, at the Mopar booth.
“Moparized” Ram 2500 Power Wagon And 2025 Ram RHO Wear New Accessories
Mopar is also presenting two modified Ram trucks at SEMA; a 2500 Power Wagon and the all-new 2025 Ram RHO. But contrary to the GTX, which showcases a new crate engine, these are mostly here to display the kinds of accessories owners can order from the Mopar catalog. They also demonstrate what these trucks can end up looking like when equipping them with the right aftermarket gear, either from Mopar or other brands.
The Power Wagon’s Satin Stealth Sand exterior and custom interior were done by third-party companies, while its 20-by-10-inch black and Anthracite Grey wheels come from Rhino. But the hood is a Mopar sports type that gives the truck a more menacing look. Nothing was done to the stock 6.4-liter HEMI V8. The bed-mounted aluminum platform allows you to carry extra gear, while the roof rack comes with three 12-inch TYRI rectangular LED lights. There’s also an active cargo-rack storage system over the bed from Leitner Designs that can carry up to eight durable GearPODS.
As for the Ram RHO, Mopar preferred to leave the twin-turbocharged, 3.0-liter inline six Hurricane engine intact with its 540 horsepower and 521 lb-ft of torque. But the truck was fitted with a dual Mopar exhaust system with five-inch dual wall tips which, according to Mopar, provides a considerably more aggressive exhaust note.
Mopar preferred focusing on accessorizing Ram’s latest off-road rig rather than giving it more power. There’s a fully integrated, bed-mounted spare-tire carrier, a RamBar accessory bar with a pair of 12-inch TYRI rectangular LED lights, as well as stamped side steps. The truck-bed surface is also protected by a black, Mopar spray-in textured bedliner. These are all available for sale by Mopar.
But this is only the tip of the iceberg of what Mopar and Stellantis will showcase at SEMA. We’re told that there will also be a “Power-Couple” themed display comprised of a Ram REV towing a modified version of the 2025 Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Banshee concept.
